Local business frenzy in March!

A wide range of local businesses utilised the Stirling of Hereford range during March 2013. From public sector customers such as Marches Housing in Leominster who bought a Hyundai iLoad van, to Powys Health Authority who added another Suzuki Jimny to their growing fleet.
In addition the Hyundai i10 proved immensely popular with Newent Autos ordering 4 & SMT in Hereford also utilising one as their preferred choice of courtesy car.
Hereford events company A2Zest Events also expanded their fleet with the addition of a Hyundai iLoad van, whilst Holden Aluminium in Bromyard now have a Hyundai i30 Tourer on their fleet.
Hereford United & Stirling of Hereford!

Here is the photographic evidence (!) of finally completing the 60 miles bike ride from Edgar Street to Telford AFC on Saturday 20th April 2013. Over 40 cyclists took part & Stirling were pleased to be able to add two support cars to help on the day, together with the sponsored iLoad van above & the Hyundai ix35 the club currently hire.
Over £5,000 was raised to help the club which will prove especially invaluable to the community football work done by Jamie Edwards and his team in taking football out into the local schools and communities.
Stirling were also present at Edgar Street over the weekend to present medals to finalists in the Stirling Suzuki sponsored HFA junior leagues.

The very first Stirling Golf Day took place on Tuesday 28th June kindly hosted for us by our sponsorship partners at Burghill Valley Golf Club. Never mind the forthcoming Open - there was a huge array of talent on show here as nearly thirty customers sampled the delights of the golf course, especially the 19th hole!
Congratulations to Neil Monks from Countrywide Asset Management who managed to scoop the first prize as seen here - the phrase "scratch player" was mentioned but we couldn't possibly comment?! Plans are already underway to book Augusta for next years event...

The sky's the limit for Mavis!

Not content with braving a sponsored parachute jump last year in aid of St Michaels Hospice in Hereford, being a glutton for punishment, Mavis, Stirling's admin and accounts guru, is embarking on more of the same later this year.

As Mavis describes of her experience, "Last year I had a slightly mad moment and commited myself to jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet. Friends, relatives and Stirling customers all helped me on my way
by sponsoring me to raise money for our local hospice- - St Michaels. I had such a great experience (you can see by the grin on my face) that this year I have decided to go it again.

The dates for the jumps haven't been aranged yet but in order to get as much fundraising time as possible I am making a pre-empted start.

Most of us know someone who has had need of the very special care that is given by our loyal hospice staff. The hospice is funded soley by volutary donations and fund raising such as these jumps so please give as much as you are able to get me out of that plane again and help the hospice to continue with their much needed work.

If you'd like to sponsor Mavis there is a collecting tin at Stirling on the service reception desk.

You can find out about more of the good work that the hospice does at the following web site:-

Don't Mention the War!

We have a wide range of customers at Stirling including one, appropriately for Hyundai perhaps?!) decorated by the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Myung-bak no less.
Lt. Col Rodney Goodman from Westfields, Hereford fought in the Korean War & was one of 2,400 war veterans invited back to visit the country as part of the government's Revisit Korea Program instigated in 1975.

The proud owner of a Hyundai Trajet, Lt. Col Goodman has recently ordered a brand new ix20 from Stirling to continue his association with Hyundai. Such things must run in the family as his daughter, Andrea, is also a member of the armed forces here, being in the TA and is also buying into the Hyundai family by way of a new ix35 shortly. It is also worth remembering that as a member of the UK armed forces you & your immediate family can take advantage of Hyundai's preferential rates for new cars by quoting Affinity reference B25 & providing ID to Stirling when you visit the dealership.

By fighting to uphold liberty and democracy I'm sure you'll agree that Lt. Col Goodman's story is a truly inspiring one for us all!
